RP: Anyone drive a FJ Cruiser?

Hi Guys.

I am in the begining stages of looking for a new vehicle and I am really liking the FJ Cruiser, but with children in the near future I am wondering if this would be a smart choice since it only has 2 small doors in the back.

So my question is, Do you have one? Is it a pain to get the car seat in and out? Anything else I should know?

TIA!

Re: RP: Anyone drive a FJ Cruiser?

  • DH was really pushing me to get one, Ive heard quite a few people say they are not baby friendly. they are higher up and apparently have no visor mirrors..not that that is a make or break thing, but Im not going to get one.

  • I really wanted one, but there is so very little backseat in them.  If you plan on having two in car seats or boosters in the time you will have it, it may be next to impossible to fit them in there.  I would suggest borrowing a car seat from a friend and taking it to the dealership with you.  I opted for a mini-van and even with it, I can't move the passenger seat all the way back because the car seat touches the back of the front seat.  Rear facing car seats just take up a lot of space.
  • thanks for the feedback guys! I found another message board that had a lot of negative reviews :( So I guess I won't be getting a FJ Cruiser. Thanks again!
