Am I the only one? NBR

When ever I come home by myself (no dh) I do a walk through of the entire house before I can relax. I just get so freaked out that some one might be lurking in the shower, or under the bed. I feel so weird cause I seriously check in the shower and under the bed before I can really relax.

Anyone else?

Not so much now, but when I was in college there was a serial rapist on the loose one summer. I could barely sleep when I was home alone, which was most of the summer, my roommate was in summer school at another campus.

Oh thats soooo scary! I think my problem is I've never actually lived ALONE. I lived with my parents, then dorms, then back with parents, then BF who is now DH. So I just get freaked out, and our dog is NOT a guard dog

Yeah, it was rough. Honestly, that's the only time I lived 'alone'. I lived with my dad after college to save money for our wedding and then I moved in with DH.

I do the exact same thing. When we have been gone for a few days, I make DH go through the whole house and do a check before I will let him leave me there alone. So glad I'm not alone!
