I loved this: "And unless you're a doctor or scientist and have the proof to back it up, please don't tell someone that there is nothing in the urine to detect the gender."
If it were me, I would expect proof that it does work before trying it, vs. demanding proof from strangers on the interwebz that it doesn't work.
I must admit, we did it. It was accurate and I was in a finacial position to do it, so why not. It was entertaining and fun to think it could be right. I did not fully believe it until the u/s. I think everyone is curious about the baby's sex. I don't get what the big deal is if someone wants to do it, then so be it.
You should respond again letting them know that you are both a Dr. and a Red Cross donation intake coordinator and so you know for a fact that a. there is nothing in the urine and b. she did not donate to red cross. What would they have to say then huh?
It's funny when these posts come up. They do realize there is a 50/50 chance of it being correct, right? It's bound to be correct 50% of the time, so when people start saying it was correct for me...well, pretty good odds.
