The first time I had them done (about 26-27 weeks), I was told that there wouldn't be much change for a month, so I had my second set done at 30-31 weeks. Is it still true that they wouldn't measure for another month NOW? Because everyone knows now's the time they really kick up the growth spurt, right?
I'm starting weekly NSTs next week, and I see either my doctor or midwife every 2 weeks.
Re: How often do you have measurements/weights taken?
I've been getting growth scans every 4 weeks since the beginning w/ my perinatologist. My last one was at 32 weeks and my next one will be at 34 weeks - not sure if they'll continue after that.
Things are speeding up for me due to lots of BH and a rapidly shortening cervix...so I am now doing twice weekly NSTs, along w/ a weekly amniotic fluid check (if it's a week I'm not seeing my peri) and a weekly check-in w/ the OB.
I have had growth scans every three weeks (since 20 weeks, I think), but starting today they are weekly, as well as NSTs. My OB appts were once/month until 20 weeks, then 2x/month until last week and now they are weekly. Whenever I get my growth scans, there is a HUGE difference with positioning, weight, length, etc.
It probably just depends on your DR. If everything is fine, there may not be a need to go so often. GL!
