Dumb Questions....Sorry in advance

We started miscarrying on Sunday.  The bleeding has slowed down so much, but never the less, im still bleeding.  Anyway, on to my point, After the week that i've had, i really really want a drink.  I wasn't sure if i was able to drink or not.  I've also heard that after a natural m/c (or m/c of any sort) that you should be on pelvic rest for 2 weeks due to infection, however, when i am done bleeding can my husband and i have sex again soon? It hasn't happened since we conceived, (12/29)!  

Like i said in my subject, i know these are dumb questions...sorry!

    I think drinking is fine in moderation especially if you're still bleeding. I know alcohol thins your blood and that would mean to me that if you had too much you might run into some bleeding problems. But one or two is probably fine. As for sex, I think you should check with your doctor just to make sure...I think your cervix has to be closed before they want you to so check with your doctor to make sure it is closed. Good luck.

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    I asked my doctor the day he told me we would miscarry if I could have wine he said of course I dont see the harm in moderation

    I drank wine the day of my d&c.  My doc said it was fine.  Thank goodness because I needed it more than ever that day.

    Thank you for the responses.  I just really want a beer.  I say that and i'll drink half of it and not want any more!

    Your ??'s werent dumb at all.  First, I am so sorry for your loss :(  Second, I definitely think you should have a drink or two!  You deserve it and it may just help take the edge off. 

    As for sex, I would wait the 2 weeks-but you could always talk to your Dr and see what he/she has to say.

    see my DR said wait 3 months to have sex!! but the nurse in the ER Said that your first 4 mo's after the D&C are going to be one of the easiest times to get pregnant! I really wanna get to the DR and ask these questions.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. My doc said I only had to wait a week to have sex after my D & C. Have a drink and relax (as much as you can)!
