I do weight watchers and love it. I've been on and off of it for a couple years so I don't go to the meetings anymore. I also started excercising, that's always a good place to start. Also in weight watchers I was taught to eat a little slower so that I can feel when I'm full, when I start to feel full I simply stop eating, I ended up eating about 1/3 of the food that was on my plate!
watch your portion sizes. keep an eye on your calorie intake and try to get 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 days a week. sparkpeople.com is a great website where you can track your food consumption and exercise.
well, me and my H go to the gym a couple times a week. and ive slowed down on the junk food and soda, started drinking Dt. soda or water. but ive barely seen any difference other than losing about 4 to 5 lbs in like a month. but i want to lose about 20-25 lbs. SOON!
I also do Weight Watchers. I do it online, and don't go to meetings. I also try and exercise at least 3 times a week. In the past couple of weeks, I've gone down two jeans sizes!
Just be smart about what you put into your body. Before I got pg, and even now, I don't drink any pop (or anything with high fructose corn syrup in it). Cut out the super processed foods (enriched flour), high sodium, canned etc. All of that really helped me.
The only way I can lose weight is to hit the gym at least 5 days a week and do interval training. I also have to limit my portion sizes.
They say it is all about a life style change. I have heard the WW is really good too. I signed up for Spark People and went strong for several weeks then it fizzled for me.
Weight watchers has a special now and it's $35 for the first 3 months, then $16.95 a month thereafter. You can sign up for a one week trial for free and see if you like it.
I do weight watchers and have been keeping off about 30 lbs for about nine months. You can join online now ... its much cheaper. But, if you watch your portions; switch some stuff from whole milk to skim milk, fat to light/non-fat; and get some exercise (I play tennis with DH twice a week and we walk another three) you should see it come off. Don't forget to eat lots of fruits and veggies. I usually make 1/2 my plate veggies, 1/4 of the meal (chicken or whatever), and if we're having a starch 1/4 of that so I can have the taste but not overdo it.

I second weight watchers - I only do it online and it's taught me a lot about portion sizes and making smart choices.
