Graco highchair cover - so pissed!

I just washed (in the machine) the cover to my high chair for only the SECOND time ever. It has spaghetti sauce stains that didn't come out when I washed it the first time last summer, and I figured it was due for another good cleaning. I stupidly used hot water hoping to get those stains out this time, and instead it came out with the clear plastic separated from the colored/patterned part along with several holes torn in that plastic. It's hard to describe, but it now looks like there is a ripped up plastic cover, whereas before it just looked like one piece of material (no cover). 

I am so ticked... You better be able to get replacement covers, and they better not cost a fortune. Grrrr.

Are you supposed to wash them in the washing machine?  I know I can't wash my Chicco one.

Oh no.. that sucks! Mine came with two covers. Did you get an extra one? We've washed ours several times, but in cold water and using the "hand wash" cycle. I'll be sure to tell DH(he does the laundry) not to ever use hot water.

i have washed mine in cold water before with no problems.  it NEVER takes out the stains and it makes me mad.  i think you should be able to order a new cover.  not sure about the cost.

I have a Combi one that says machine wash on delicate.  The second time I washed it, on delicate and in cold, it came out shredded.

Yeah...the tag just says "wipe clean with damp cloth," but it was the consensus of many nesties when I asked last summer that you can wash it in the machine with no problems. I guess you just really shouldn't use hot water. I feel like a dumba$$.... but who makes a baby product that isn't meant to go in the washing machine?! DUH!

Mine only came with one cover. It's the Contempo. I'm jealous that you got an extra!
