to give some background....im a FL bride just passing this info on!! ok so a few weeks ago i was playing around on the computer trying to find a unique baby shower gift to give my sister. I put in Unique baby gifts. it led me to a nice website and the first thing it showed me was these baby high heel shoes! Then went and found store locations. Now before you go and think they are dangerous or bad there not! They are soft and only intended for infants 0-6mts. if pressure is on the heel it collapses. its all in fun and really for a laugh and some good pics! since my sister is into fashion i figure these would be a hit at the shower......Now i know this isnt a board about baby shower gifts. But i just wanted to pass this along to people who do have to go to baby showers and want to give a unique gift. Also, the girl that is selling me them is in Sanford and her store isnt open yet so when i called the girl i told her i needed these shoes before sept she told me i could meet up with her by the mall in Sanford to give them to me. She lives right down the street. Now who does that? So i just really appreciated her wanting to do this for me. So im gonna pick them up this sunday!! So since she is helping me out i figured i would let everyone know that her store is opening in October. tell me why i couldnt post here? if i thought i found a cute site why shouldnt i post and talk about it? i found a cute wedding favor and wanted to tell everyone what i found and they all loved the idea some even had the same idea. so why cant we all post and let people know what we find and pass it along? it makes no sense to me?

you CAN post here...you can do what ever you want.

But if you want a positive reception on ANY message board, you follow the nettiquete of 'lurk before posting'.

If you had followed that basic rule you would have learned that:
1) we don't appreciate vendors (ya know, because it's against the rules and all that). You may not be a vendor but when you sound THIS MUCH like a vendor it's not hard to understand why we think you're a vendor.

and
2) Hooker shoes for babies aren't really the style most BOTBers appreciate. You may think they're adonkable and not hookerish at all. That's your style. But it's pretty understandable that plenty of people would look at high-heeled crib shoes in lepord print and say "ew, why would I want my daughter to look like a whore?"

Again, if you had lurked before you posted, you'd know this (points to my bio w/ the 'lurk before posting' bit)
Same goes for the "favors"...I can't think of any board I frequent/frequented on the theknut where a post of this calibur wouldn't get the same responseyou got here of "WTF, go away if you're a vendor"
(hence the lurking.)
