Fancy Nancy ?

Does anyone have the 'I can read' books?  What are they like?

    DD loves these books.  They are cute, short stories and they teach you the "fancy" way to say different things to grow vocabulary.

    We have several of them. The stories are simpler, but IMO the words are still too big. DD is 5 and loves Fancy Nancy, so I got her a few--but I was surprised to see words like "announcement" in the Level 1 books! DD loves them just as much as her hardcover Fancy Nancy books.

    yup... very simple books that incorporate more complex words not typically found in kid literature. It's been a great way to expand DD#1's vocabulary and reading abilities....
