Emilie - SLP?

What's SLP like?  I've only seen it from the highway, and it looked pretty.. well... scary.  Are there nicer areas of town though?  I'm finding some pretty decent looking/priced apartments there, so I thought I'd find out.

    LOVE IT. There are definitely some rough pockets, but for the most part this is one of the most desirable and fun suburbs in the cities!

    Reeeaaaaally.. Hmm.  Any neighborhoods or areas in there that you can think of offhand that would be good or bad to live in?

    The inexpensive apartments I have found  there are at:
    8224 West 30 1/2 Street
    and
    8800 West 36th Street

    Any idea on that area?

    Ok, those two are in decent enough areas, but not really the nicest neighborhood. Kind of on the edge of industrial and further west than I'd prefer.

    No, definitely not awful! And remember, anyplace you go can be temporary if you rent :) If you dont love it after that first year (or 6 months or whatever) you can move! I also suggest you look in WEST Bloomington, Hopkins, Richfield, Robbinsdale, Golden Valley, and Roseville. You may like NE Mpls and St.Anthony Village, but these definitely have a more urban feel (but have a much shorter commute).
