Help me with 2T - 3T Sizing

Ok I know that the sizing on clothes is just a type of guideline but with our "babies" we can buy sizes like 12 M, 18M, then 24 M but after that it's just 2T then straight to 3T. Is it that they don't grow much between 2T and 3T? thanks

2T has lasted us over a year. they grow - but its like 5lbs a year after 1 year old. something small. but we have been in the "age" ranges. so towards 3, aidan moved to 3T for some things. etc...

ditto..they REALLY slow down. Like my DD gained 2 lbs all last year. She's moved into 3T now, but 2T lasted forever.

I wondered about that.  Before I could buy clearance stuff at the end of the season for the next year, but now that there aren't in-between sizes I'm afraid to guess.  DS is a 50-percentiler, so he's been pretty true to size, but I'm afraid to get anything in a 2T beyond summer clothes.
