Newbie!

Ok, so my husband and I got married on Oct 17, 2009, and found out we were pergnant this weekend, and I am so not even ready for this!! So far we have told one close friend of ours, and are waiting to tell our parents. Here is the problem, or two....our parents were so completely for us waiting a few years (he is in the military so we were going to wait until his enlistment is up) so how do you tell parents who really wanted you to wait? The second problem is my husband deploys in March, so does anybody have any advice on being pregnant and delivering while daddy is an ocean away?

Well first of all...Congrats to you! I think your parents will be excited once they hear the news. After all, it is their grandbaby. And I'm sure that they will help you tons while your hubby is away.

Sorry, I have no advice on delivering with daddy gone, but I'm sure you will be able to make it work.

Congrats!  I hope you're just being overly cautious about your parents.  My experience has been parents always have plans for the kids, but when a grandkid is on the way they are just happy.  I am sure this is going to be an exciting and difficult time for you so you are going to need your and his parents to lean on!  I certainly use my mom as a sounding board when I start feeling crazy with this pregnancy stuff!
