  • I just use a warm washcloth. Someone gave me a buttload of J&J skin care wipes at my shower so I was using those for a while but they have a scent to them and I would rather not use scented stuff for his face. He hates it, no matter what I use!

  • Diaper wipes are fine since they're alcohol free. ;)

I personally use a wet paper towel.

  • I guess you can do that.  I just use a warm wet paper towel.

  • It depends on the wipe she is using. Most wipes are full of chemicals and chlorine - which I don't think is good for the bum let alone the face. But I digress.

Can you do what she is doing? Yes. Should you? I don't know, I lean towards no but if the kid doesn't have super sensitive skin - then it might not be any different than using on the bum/genitals. Hopefully she doesn't get it in the baby's mouth ICK.

  • I just use diaper wipes. We have the sensitive ones so there isn't a scent or anything so I don't see why you couldn't use them.
  • my kid has crazy super sensitive skin and we use wipes all the time.  it's the only thing that doesn't cause his face to get dry and scaly.

  • Wet washcloth with water only. Wipes irritate their faces and we have enough problems with that.  Plus the added advantage is they love to chew on the cloth for a minute or so and that gives me cleanup time!

if its dinner time I just let her be messy and stick her right in the tub and use the washcloth.

    This, exactly!

  • Wet paper towel, or even a wet burp cloth (since we really don't burp them anymore).

EDIT: If DH is feeding them, sometimes I use a diaper wipe because they get SO much messier with him!

  • We use a wipe.  He HATES getting his face wiped!
