It looks like Woot.com is having a Woot off today (multiple sales instead of one item for the day). Does anyone know how it works, as in does it change every hour, change when the product sells out therefore making it completely random when something new comes up?
Re: How does a Woot Off Work?
I'm a Woot veteran! Things to know about a woot-off:
They are selling excess stock of items that either they've gotten a whole lot of, or that didn't sell on previous single-woot days.
They keep it up until it sells out, then put another random item up.
You can see what has previously been up in the blog.
Shipping is $5 for anything -- meaning if you get 3 of one item, it's $5 flat. You can't combine shipping across items (so you can't get 2 of 1 thing and 1 of another for $5).
The coveted item in a woot-off is a "BoC" -- a "bag of crap". It's literally 3-5 random items in a bag for $1. Sometimes they'll put a goodie in there like a camera or MP3 player, but that's not guaranteed. My BoC was definitely full of crap
