Is it bad of me to not want to give out goodie bags at my son's 1st birthday party? The children include about 12 family members/friend's kids who range from 7 months to 11 years old. Frankly, I've done it for my older son's birthday parties and I just think it's a waste. For the young ones I end up filling it with crayons or plastic junk that the parents probably end up throwing in the garbage anyway. And for the older children, I usually put candy in it....probably another thing they can do without.
So, basically, I thought I'd just send them home with a balloon and I don't think either the parents or kids would notice if there was no bag.
Re: Another 1st Birthday Question
Thats fine!
If you end up wanting to do something though, I stocked up on those $1 books in the target bins for the younger kids. The older kids each got a big candy bar.
