NBR: I need some advice

I am helping my FIs cousin look for cars. She found 2 cars she is interested in  & emailed the sellers. They are on autotrader.com & the sellers want the transaction done through Ebay & then will ship the car to her. I have no experince with buying a car (or any expensive item) like this through Ebay.

Is this the norm or should I just tell her to forget about these cars and just go to a dealer?

    My aunt and uncle bought a car off of e bay.  However they saw it before they bought it.  I would be warry about not seeing it and then having it "shipped" to her.   I would tell her to go to a dealer.

    Not good!  You always want to test drive a car whether new or used, plus many people that are selling their car will let a mechanic look at it before buying and if they don't let you, you know somethings up. DH is a mechanic and has given this advice to many of our friends.

    I'm going to email back and tell them she wants to look at it and test drive 1st and see what they say. My dad is a mechanic so maybe he can come with us.
