I'm buying myself a very dark cherry sleigh bed.  I'm also buying new bedding.

Here is the bedding I like.

The sleigh bed is so dark is almost looks like a black lacquer finish.  Would you still put this bedding with it?

go for it just keep the walls a light color or your room will look/feel very small

How big is your room? You may want to go lighter. I have cherry furniture in a huge room (20x23) with light walls and this is what we went with:

My room isn't huge but the walls are off white and carpet is a light khaki color.  I get LOTS of sun shining into my room too.  The rest of the furniture is minimal.  Small table, chest of drawers, tall skinny shelf, and writing desk.
