Help me with a schedule?

In the wake of the recent vomit marathon going on in my house, I think it is time to come up with a new schedule.  I want to make sure they are getting enough formula during the day, so I don't want to just eliminate a bottle.  I am wondering if the vomiting is from the quantities right before bed.

7:00 am - 4 oz fruit and 4 oz bottle

Snack

12:00 pm - 5-6 oz veggie/fruit and 6 oz bottle

1 - 3 pm nap

Snack

5:00 pm - 5-6 oz veggie/fruit and 4 oz bottle

7:00 pm - 6 oz bottle with 3 tbsp rice cereal

That makes a total of 20 oz formula if they eat it all.  I would love to move the 5:00 4 oz bottle up, but not sure how to do it with their nap.

Thanks ladies!

Re: Help me with a schedule?

  • I would eliminate the cereal from the bedtime bottle, and/or move the 5:00 4oz bottle up to the snack time.  DD gets 4 6oz bottles throughout the day, and the last two are at 4:00 and 7:00.  She eats dinner at 5:30ish.  GL!

  • I am not sure what to change about your schedule, but I wanted to just type out my schedule b/c I like to see what other people are doing:

    7am - 5 oz bottle
    9am - 3-4 oz fruit + 5 oz bottle
    10am-12pm - nap
12pm - 5 oz. bottle and 1/4-1/2 cup snacks (yogurt melts, puffs, etc.)
    3pm - 3-4 oz fruit or veggie + 5 oz bottle
    3:30-5pm - nap
6:30pm - 3-4 oz [Stage 3 dinner] + 1/4 cup snacks (yogurt melts, puffs, finger food, etc)
    7:00pm bath, 5oz bottle, bed

I am wondering if I need to increase the food - he is still seeming hungry after I feed him, but then after the bottle, he is fine, so not sure.  I also have 25 ounces of formula, so maybe that is making up for the calories.

I am always annoyed that I can't find food schedules for babies (mostly they say "whatever your baby is comfortable with"), so thanks for posting yours!
