I am on bedrest right now and I go back to the Dr tomorrow. My BP is ranging between 150-160's/85-95. Few questions for you.....What did you Dr have you do to try and get your numbers down? When were you induced? (Or when will you be induced)What were your number's averaging? (Or what are your numbers averaging?)

Re: PIH ?'s
My bp was 150s/90s-100s. My OB wants me to be under 140/90. I'm on bp meds and strict bed rest at home. When my blood pressure was borderline, I was told to limit sodium. I'm now trying to go by that, but I'm not officially on a low sodium diet. Honestly, it seems as if the strict bed rest is really the main thing that keeps my bp down.
I have not been scheduled for an induction. We are trying to let LO cook as long as possible. As long as he is doing ok (per NSTs and BBPs twice per week) and I'm doing ok, he will be allow to stay in there.
I've been on medication to keep mine down.
I will be induced Monday if this little stinker doesn't come on his own, but it's not related to PIH, it's because I'll be 41 weeks. Crazy for me to think about since I've been having BP issues since the first tri.
I never really ask what my numbers are because it will stress me out if I know. After I was put on medication I was fine up until 34 weeks then my BP shot back up again to 140/90ish and kept going up. Yesterday it was 148/98 and my OB didn't say anything about it, probably because I'll be induced next week. He did make the comment though that since my cervix is still completely intact and there has been no dilation that if they were to try and induce me now it would be a 1 - 2 day process. Right now we're all hoping nature will just take it's course.
