GD eating ?

Hello again!

I posted last week, with some great support and responses. I was diagnosed last Monday- do not go to the GD specialist until Thursday- almost two weeks!

With alot of you girls advice, I found a diet on-line that I have been trying to follow - for my piece of mind until I can talk to the a dr.

Do have a question, most the diets, and from alot of what you all say is to eat every two hours. Don't get me wrong- I love to eat, but do you still have a snack or eat your meal at that time even if you are not hungry then?

Thanks, appreciate your help!!

Happy Monday!

Re: GD eating ?

  • Yeah, there are times when I'm not hungry so I just keep a few small, quick snacks at my desk.  I'll have an applesauce or some trail mix, something that's not too filling.  It's important to keep your blood sugar from getting too low.  From what I was told it's as important to avoid the valleys as it is to avoid the peaks.

  • It's funny cause before I started my diet plan I thought the same thing as you - that I'd NEVER be able to eat that much food and I sure as heck won't be hungry every 2 hours.

Seriously follow it strickly for a few days just to try it - it's amazing - I'm definitely going to continue eating this way after LO is born. I track ALL my food in Sparkpeople.com and have had really good success with my numbers and I feel so great!

    Good luck!
