The boys were progressing pretty well at night in the sleep dept. They were sleeping 8 hour stretches pretty consistently. Their problem was naps - or lack of - so 2 weeks ago I took the entire week off to work on establishing some sort of napping routine.
It went really well, and they now go down easily for naps after 2 hours of being awake with their final bedtime at 7pm. The problem is that now they are waking up again in the night. One is up at 12, 3, & 6. The other is up at 1 & 4. I feel like I did when they were newborns. At least then they woke at the same time, I feel like I am up every hour!
Is there someting I shoud be doing to help them? They sleep in the same room - so letting them CIO risks waking the sleeping baby.
Thoughts?. Ideas?
Re: Why did they stop sleeping???
I can't offer a ton of advice on sleeping, because well my DD who is almost 3 still doesn't STTN, but my twin boys - I think I just lucky and they do. I didn't really do anything special.
I am only offer my advice on the CIO and the babies in the same room.
My boys sleep in the same room and will for a very long time since we only have 3 bedrooms. I made sure that they could and can sleep through each other crying and such.
If this is the case with your twins, you may want to let them CIO (if you feel they are ready and old enough and such) in the same room.
On the rare occasion that they wake up at night and they just cry for a bit and I don't go in they don't wake the other baby.
It is the same with naps, if one wakes up and the other is still asleep they don't wake each other up.

Thanks. I am not sure what I want to do. If they are just fussing & whining I will leave them. I still have a hard time ignoring a full out cry though. Maybe when they are bigger.
Hopefully it is just a growth spurt or something. It is too hard to do this when I have to work in the morning.
