Random, single hiccups (me, not LO)

This is probably the lamest post ever, but I have noticed the last few weeks that I will randomly get a single hiccup every now and then.  Just ONE...and I normally have hiccups for several minutes.

I'm wondering if it's pregnancy related, like maybe LO is pushing on my diaphragm. Anyone else feeling this???

I think its pregnancy related. I get the same thing. My boys and DH think its funny. Me not so much.

Yes, I sort of thought that it was more of me just trying to catch my breath. I think LO was sitting on my lungs at times...but random hiccups seem to describe it perfectly.

I get this sometimes. But I got it before I was pregnant as well.

That happened to me ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant!  It would be a loud hiccup followed by a burp.  Super strange. Went away as soon as I wasn't pregnant anymore

Yea, this happens to me a lot. My husband always laughs & calls them my "pregnancy hiccups"

It can be because your stomach is really full (and it presses against your diaphragm).  Considering our stomachs can only hold like half of a normal amount these days--it's bound to bump your diaphragm every once and a while!  I guess it could be baby, too.  Totally normal--if annoying!

I couldn't help but laugh when I read this post!  I've been having random single hiccups, too!  Sometimes a random hiccup-burp!  This was just another weird little pregnancy "symptom" I've been having; so happy I wasn't going crazy alone!    My LO on the other hand has crazy hiccups 1 to 3 times a day! Poor little thing!  And she's positioned in such a way that I feel her hiccups in my bum!  It's the weirdest feeling!

I get these ALL the time...so annoying!  This is gross, but I actually threw up cheezits from one of these hiccups last week...totally caught me off guard!

Yeah, I get them too... sometimes as a warning 'Danger Heartburn Approaching'  Usually just a random one or two throughout the day.  I did get them occasionally pre-pregnancy too (w/o heartburn) but that was usually after a long sesson of practicing or teaching (I'm a singer).  So I'm positive it has something to do with pressure on the diaphram and is just your body's way of 'resetting' it.  LOL...i just did one :P

I have been having the same thing, and only ever experienced hiccups in several minute intervals before pregnancy. Now it's several times a day but only one or two in a row - randomly annoying. Excititng though, knowing that LO is causing this strange phenomenon (and I'm only 9wks along!)
