Kalen has arrived at 29 weeks

Early this morning at 29 weeks my little girl arrived weighing 2lbs 16oz she is breathing on her own however she is in the NICU. Just wanted to come over here to get some words of support and encouragement from you ladies. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Re: Kalen has arrived at 29 weeks

  • Congrats!  Way to go another 2 weeks after pRPOM, it is statistically a very small amount of women who can do that!

Sounds like the shots really helped...you will be in our thoughts and prayers.  My son was born at 33 weeks, breathing on his own , had to have an IV for a week for fluids and antibiotics...but mostly he had to learn to eat!  GL!!!

  • Congrats on your little girl!  It sounds like she's doing well.  Please feel free to ask questions, vent, and celebrate here!

E was born at 30 weeks at 2lb 5 oz and is now doing great and is well over 14 lbs!  Ask any questions you may have.  I look forward to getting to know you.  Can't wait to hear more and am glad she is doing so well!

  • Congrats and welcome!  Glad to hear she is breathing on her own, that is a great sign.  My DD was born at 32 weeks and weighed 2 lbs 9 oz, so I know what is is like to see a baby that small.  Scary, for sure.  Hang in there, and feel free to come with any questions.  We've all been there!
