having 2nd thoughts on our girls name...

We are set on our boys name and have been for quite awhile as he is being named in honor of his late grandfather... (Nicholas Delcan will be his name)

but I cannot seem to decide on anything for DD... we had Juliana Grace and while I like it and think it sounds lovely with Nicholas.. I just don't know... other girl names I like are Addison, Alexis (Lexi), Ava, Brooke, Claire, Hanna, Kylie, Makenna..

I'd really like to keep Grace as a middle name because it has meaning to our family... what name do you like best to go with Grace as a middle name and to compliment Nicholas?

it just might take us MEETING her to decide, lol

Re: having 2nd thoughts on our girls name...

  • Nicholas seems rather traditional.  Names like Ava, Alexis, Adidson, Brooke, Kyle and Makenna seem less traditional and more trendy to me.  I like Juliana alot, love Claire and also like Hannah (i spell it with 2 Hs).  Love Grace as a middle name--I love it as a first name too.

But go with what you like.  My boy and girl names do not go together at all.  I just like trendy, preppy names for boys and old lady names for girls :)

  • Emily Grace? Sorry, that's cheating. That's DD's name. :)

    me too!

  • I have the same problem. We have our boy name picked out (Logan Henry) but I am wavering on our girl name (Shea Elizabeth). DH really likes Shea, but I am not feeling it so much anymore.

  • I love Julianna, Claire and Hannah. Claire Grace doesn't sound as good though as Hannah Grace or Julianna Grace. Or maybe Julia? (We would've had a Julia if we'd had a girl. :))

This. With a one syllable middle name, I wouldn't have a one syllable first name.

  • I LOVE Juliana - the others a bit more trendy and too popular for my style but Juliana Grace is gorgeous.  I stay stick w/ it.
  • Love the name Hanna :)

Our Ani was going to Megan until we saw her.

  • I say stick with your original choice, I love the name Juliana Grace. Its a great classic and beautiful name.
  • Just my opinion, but there are so many girls named Addison, Ava, and Claire right now.  I like the other names much better because she won't be one of 15 in her classes growing up.  I like the sound of Nicholas (Nick) and Brooke together.  Grace doesn't really go with Brooke though.  Alexis Grace is nice too.
