I have been cramping on and off for about two days. When I lay down it seems to go away. DH thought maybe I needed to use the bathroom but I have only been able to use it a little. I finally gave in and called the ob emergency line bc its got me freaked a little bit that these cramps are coming and going. I have been through a m/c before so maybe I am making a bigger deal outta something that is nothing. So was wondering if anyone else had cramps (typical period cramps) like this for a few days, while I am waiting on the ob to call me back. TIA
Re: cramps
I'm actually experiencing the same sort of thing right now. I had it back when I was 10-11 weeks along too. For me the cramps are mildly painful, about 10-15 min apart, and get worse with activity. The first time I had them, my doc said that I had an irritable uterus, and that I needed to reduce my activity to take stress off my uterus. At that time I dropped down to 4 hours per day of work, and it took it easy when I was off. It did the trick, until Friday night that is. I started the cramping again, and the on call OB put me on bed rest for the weekend and I'll get checked at the office on Monday. They told me to drink a lot of water, lay on my left side, and try a warm bath.
I know that it's scary, especially when you've experienced a loss. But I bet if you compare what you are feeling now, to what you felt then, you'll find that it's different. This is probably just your body's way to telling you that you need to slow down. Our bodies weren't meant to do this two at a time, so it's no wonder out uterus' are complaining. Hang in there! GL, and keep us posted on what your doc says.

Yes! I had them at 18wks - I was super anxious about the impending u/s and hadn't seen the dr in almost 4 wks. They weren't really painful, but they were there. I ended up calling the dr, who told me to try tylenol and maybe go in to see the dr if they didn't go away / got worse. I had no other distressing symptoms (no spotting, etc). I took a tylenol and went to bed.
Got through the U/S 4 days later and felt much calmer to know everything is going well & babes are healthy.
The cramps came back yesterday. I think they are somehow related to RLP - my uterus is definitely growing - I feel like my belly is going to pop from the inside - so I think this is the cause. Again, no other distressing symptoms.
