Aiden, Carter, and Bella. I ADORE all 3 names, but I'm sad they're so trendy! I did hear one that I LOVED (don't judge): Coen. (Cohen?) Sooo cute! (For a boy)

I just heard this and loved it too but our nephew is Owen, so I thought it'd be too close.

That's why we made Carter DS middle name - we love it, but it's getting so trendy. Coen is a German/Dutch name and it's pronounced Koon.
I am getting pretty sick of Madison, Addison, Aiden, Caden, and Isabella. I know lots of babies with these names!
(About Coen)--Really? Pronounced Koon? Because a friend on FB (who named her son that) calls him "Co-uhn". Rhyming with Owen? I like that better than Koon!
ps. I love Carter a lot-DH and I were tossing a coin practically, but decided it was too hip
Madison. Not so much sick of it, but I hate that it's the most popular ever and I wanted this for a name for a girl since I was like 12 or 13...way before it became so popular. I don't want my DD (if that's what I wind up with) to have the same name as 8 of her classmates.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
Any of the -aiden names. I know a gazillion kids with those names. My SS is Hayden and everywhere the kid goes he meets another one or one that names with his. I even have a girlfriend whose daughter's name is Hayden. There are just way too many of them!
Aiden, Carter, and Bella. I ADORE all 3 names, but I'm sad they're so trendy! I did hear one that I LOVED (don't judge): Coen. (Cohen?) Sooo cute! (For a boy)
I have a friend who named her son Coen - very cute name for an adorable child!

ETA: They pronounce it co-in - not "***/koon."
Rhyming it with Owen sounds a lot better in English. In Dutch it's pronounced Koon (yes, really!). I have two friends back home with that name: one is Koen and one is Coen. The "oo" is a short "oo" sound though. It's hard to explain.

I love the name Cohen too. My youngest DD would have been Cohen had she been a boy. That was 4 years ago and I had never heard the name used before. I was going to name him after the musician Leonard Cohen. Since then I have met 2-3 Cohens and it makes me sad!
btw Cohen is also Hebrew and means "priest" ....and pronounced Co-Hen

Yep, dutch and german pronounciation is Koon...went to a mostly german/dutch school and knew a bunch of them! I can see how people would say it as Co-en though...

So, pretty much any name that sounds like the parents are TRYING to be original. "y"s in the wrong place, or words that aren't meant to be names.
Whatever happened to names like Michael, Joseph, or John? Biblical I suppose, but nice and normal.
But, that's just me.
I like names that are more original, but I agree with you that I don't like names that sound like they've been made up. I grew up the only one in my class with my name and I really liked that. I don't want 5 other kids in the class with the same name as my LO.
I did hear one that I LOVED (don't judge): Coen. (Cohen?) Sooo cute! (For a boy)
That's one of our top names (spelled Cohen), funny though, I hadn't seen it mentioned on here until I mentioned it a few weeks ago, and in the last few days I've seen it 3 or 4 times, that's how it goes I guess! We really want a Hebrew name (DD's name is Hebrew as well), and like that it's not popular.
Any boy names starting with a C. Maybe it's just a trend where I live but it seems like every boy is being named a C name... Caiden, Carter, Case, Chase, Cole, Connor etc.
I am so sick of that name. I don't like the sound of it to begin with, and now it's gotten so popular that I dislike it even more.
On the Coen/Cohen debate...these are two different names. I think the pp wanted the name that rhymed with Owen, so then it would be the Hebrew one with the h.
Aubrey!! almost every mother that I know that has had or is having a girl has either named their daughter this, or is going to. It is cute, but I am sick to death of it because it is being used so much by people I know.
I am sick of hearing Any variation of Mikeala, Shayla,
Peyton, Aidan, Grace as a mn, anything that rhymes with brayden. Anything where Y replaces another letter. Rose as a mn, almost anything ending in "lyn", James, nevaeh, I guess pretty much any of the top 10.
There are so many names that I like but am sick of hearing. Those are just a few.
Re: What name are you sick of?
Anything that ends in -lyn
and Jack. I really like it but it's so overused now.
Like OP, I apologize to any who have chosen names like this. Maybe that should be a given on this post
Old fashion names that are making a come back.. a little too much :
Sophia, Olivia, Emma, Anna, Lilly.
No offence to those who have chosen these, but I know atleast 2-3 kids with each name.
Ella too. My son goes to a daycare with 12 children and there are 3 Ella's.
There are also 2 in his swim class and 2 woman I work with have an Ella, Not to mention two girls I grew up with named their daughters this.
I think a few of them are Isabella and go by Ella
Names that are mispelled.
edit: HAHAHA I misspelled "mispelled" !! Too funny:)

All of the -aden names. Nails on a chalkboard.
Anything that puts a y where it shouldn't be.

Madison, Addison, & Aiden. Especially the spelling variations of each. Puke!
I'm sorry.
No I'm not.

This. Also, the Madison/Addison thing and all of the Aiden rhymes. I love the name Aiden and am bummed that it is super trendy right now.

Any made-up spelling or mismashed names, ie. ending in -Lee.
And yes, Madison, Bella, Olivia, Connor, Aiden, KayLee, McKayla, etc.
Sorry to lurck on the wrong tri board, but had to say it: Addison
SOrry if you chose it, it is pretty but so so so overdone around here...
Addison.

Jack & Jackson - I know like 25 under the age of two!
Sophie, Olivia, Emma, Emily... They are the new Jennifers and Sarahs
Aubrey!! almost every mother that I know that has had or is having a girl has either named their daughter this, or is going to. It is cute, but I am sick to death of it because it is being used so much by people I know.
Meh.
We're using either Lillian or Samuel.
However, neither will be shortened. So there will be no Lilly or Sam.
Both are pretty popular, but Lillian is a family name on my side that I've wanted to use since I was 5...and Samuel is from the Bible.
I don't really care if they are popular or not.
I'm sick of names with youneek spellings.
