Anyone have BABY JOGGER CITY ELITE stroller?

I'm looking to buy a double stroller for running. I'm debating between the Baby Jogger and Baby Trend.

Here's one example from Baby Jogger. I like it mainly b/c the sun shade seems large and nice, and it's on sale. Hate it? Love it? For a $220 discount, I can deal with the color LOL: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2925053

Here's the Baby Trend: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3792557

Although I don't see an infant attachment for the Baby Trend. Anyone know?

TIA!

  • The first one (the Baby Jogger City Elite) is a much better stroller. MUCH.

  • i love love love my baby jogger double stroller. dont let the name fool you though. Most are not actually jogging strollers.  its just their name. :)

  • I think you need to be realistic about how much running you are actually going to be doing.  When my twins were 5 months to a year, I was able to push my baby trend double jogger easily.  However, now, they are too heavy to push and they do not like sitting for long periods of time.  Also, I am a runner and never got the hang of actually running with the jogger.  Because I'm tall, I was also hunched over and would get stiff easily.  I found that powerwalking with the stroller was much better.

If you know you'll use it a LOT, I'd get the Elite.  If you aren't sure, I wouldn't invest the money and get the Baby Trend.  Can you try the stollers out at BRU?

Thanks:) I tried 2 BRU's near me and neither had a double, or a Baby Jogger brand, if you can believe that. Sucks.
