We just transitioned our almost 3 year old son to a bed. When he was in the crib, he would immediately fall asleep for both naps and at bed time (2hour naps, 11-12 hours at night). Now that he's in a bed, he just wants to sing and play in his room. It takes at least 45 min-1 hour to fall asleep and a lot of days ends up not napping. He still needs a nap cause he is unbearable by 4pm on the days he doesn't nap. Any one else deal with something similar? How do I get him to stop playing and start sleeping? The new freedom of the bed seems to be preventing him from sleeping.
