I failed the 1 hr glucose test by 1 point, and so they made me come back for the 3 hr glucose one, my body did not handle that, and I could only stand it for 1.5 hrs. I refused to take it again, it made me feel so horrible. My dr's policy is to send everyone that won't take the 3 hr test again to meet with the dietician. I'm also currently monitoring my blood glucose levels and will be talking to them about it on Tuesday.
Does anyone know what normal numbers would be if I do not have GD? I've tried looking for the info online, but it seems to vary a lot wit the normal ranges.
Re: GD Diabetes question
I'm supposed to be b/w 65-90 for my "fasting" levels...
and under 130 for 1 hour after meals...
This, except my fasting range is 70-90.
It is interesting.. my fasting range is 60-90, but doc wants me to check my sugar level 2 hours after I eat which needs to be between 60-120. So far this morning, only my fasting number has been elevated compare to rest of the numbers. I've just started testing my numbers yesterday, so this is a learning experience for me as well.
However, I do want to share a good site to help get a good idea of how much carbs in certain food. I am going to take advantage of this website so I wanted to share it with rest of you!
