Does your vehicle hold 3 car seats? Recommendation please!

Our lease is almost up on one of our vehicles and since we are expecting our 3rd baby we are looking to lease a vehicle that will comfortably hold three carseats (and not too expensive of a payment).  Our other car is a Saturn Outlook, which I love, and it holds three with the third row seating.  I would prefer to have all 3 car seats in one row if possible.  Thanks for your suggestions!

  • I have a Chrysler Town & Country and love it.  When we have a third, we'll stow one captain's chair and put two carseats in the back bench seat.  Or, if DS1 is capable of getting himself buckled in by then, we'll put him back there.
  • Toyota Sequoia.  Although I've never tried three carseats in it, I know it would work comfortably.  We chose ours with second row captain's chairs instead of a bench...so there's no way for 3 carseats in my car on the second row.  But the third row is very spacious and fully automatic and leaves plenty of cargo space in the rear when in use.  Yes

      This!  I love my T&C...
  • We have a Toyota Sienna (minivan) and it'll have three carseats in it for the first time today.  We  also have captains chairs in the second row, but the one on the passenger side can be put in the middle or all the way to the side.  We have that in the middle so people can get to the third row relatively easily.  We've had adults sitting back there plenty of times and they get in and out without too much trouble.  Now we'll have DD#1 in the third row all the way on the right and DS and DD#2 in the second row.  I'm hoping to be able to reach in and buckle DD#1 without having to climb all the way in, but we'll see how that works when DS and I head home (later this morning, I hope).
  • I have a GMC Denali and my backseat (middle row) is wide enough for 3 carseats.  Last week I have 5 carseats in my truck!  I usually have my 3rd row seats out for more room in the back for stuff, but I had nieces & nephews with me so I put the 3rd row seats in and had 3 in the middle row and 2 in the 3rd row.

  • I have a Honda Odyssey.  One thing about having all three seats in a row (as we do in DH's Ford 150) is that when DC moves to a booster it is hard to buckle the seat belt with a car seat on the side.

I love my Odyssey b/c my 2 yr old can climb in it.   The doors slide (auto) open with one pull and that also saves us from knocking other cars with door.  Love the DVD player! I also love the trunk space, fits a double stroller and groceries!

I have the infant and DS (convertible carseat) in captain chairs (the middle second row seat is removed) and DD in a booster in the back.

  • I have a Mazda 5 and love it but it is 3 rows and when you use the 3rd row there's not a lot of trunk space.

  • I have a Sienna also.  With the middle bench  (which is really three seprate seats) you can fit 3 carseats across.  It is why we went with the toyota and not the honda.  I really love it in basically every way.  I wish I went up to the XLE (or whatever) though, just so both doors and the hatch would auto open, but even just the one door is awesome!
