I go to Dr Tortorella in the sand lake commons, I've been happy with him thus far. I've heard good things about Physicians Associates also. I'm delivering at Winnie Palmer. All they do is deliver babies, and they have the best NICU. I don't have any direct experience yet, but through my research it's the best
Hi there, I have delivered twice at Winnie Palmer and it is awesome! Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms and all in all a very nice experience. Great choice
I will say though, I would not recommend my OB. Very old fashioned, either hasn't been updated on any new rules and guidelines lately or else doesnt care. I wasn't happy with her at all. If you want to know who it is then just please ask me and I will send you a PM.
It depends what side of town you live on, but I went to the Place for Women in Celebration. I liked both doctors there. I delivered at Celebration Health. Nice rooms, excellent nurses, i was very happy there!
DD#1 I went to Winnie Palmer, but i will not be going back for #2 we are going to use a midwife, Heart 2Heart Birth Center in Sanford.
Depending what kind of birth you want. Winnie Palmer is great. THey are the best at high risk births, but they treat everyone like it could be high risk at any moment. So if you are interested in going natural or something, i wouldn't recommend it. Also for me they had my baby in the nursery more than i wanted. THey would take her for a shift change or something and not bring her back unless i asked. So depending what experience you want its great. WE used Physicians Assoc. for my OB the first time, no problems here.
Midwives and birth centers are great at handling low risk normal pregnancies. THey should have a OB on back up so if something were to go wrong and they are often close to the hospital too. The prenatal care is more personal and your visits will be longer. I'm excited to be going this route this time. Good Luck finding something that works for you.
I went to OB and GYN Specialists and they have a few offices. Their number is 407-345-1041. I really like Dr. Marnique Jones and Dr. Logan. They deliver at Winnie Palmer and the hospital staff were good and the room was clean. The food was better than average too.
Both my aunt and my sister delivered at Celebration Health, and they LOVED it. They are begging for me to deliver there, but I llive in Polk County now and it's too far to go to if my delivery becomes a short one.
Re: Where did you give birth? Tell me about it....

I've worked and delivered at Winnie Palmer, it's a great hospital.. but your care will depend on the nurses so it can be up or down.
I went to Dr.Peppy at Physicians Associates in Sand Lake. He is the best doctor I have ever been to in my life, I love him!
