We call it a binki but my granny (she is english) calls it a dummy too, so he knows it by that, and my parents call it a passy. it goes by all sort of things. He just sees it and gets excited!

I call it a binky and he is a binky boy. He loves his binkys. DH calls them pacis. Funny thing, the only kind he likes is the Gerber Nuk orthodontics. So, my MIL calls them his "nookies".
Re: Names for pacifiers
We don't use a paci, but I called them "paci" and "Nuk" (regardless of the brand - annoying, eh?) before we knew Baby D hated them.
I call it a paci. Ever-proper DH still calls it the full "pacifier".
"Bink" seems the most common around here, where we live, but I don't like it.
Dummy is pretty common in my extended family (UK, etc).
My mom calls them nukkie and DS started calling it a "bah-tee", so we adopted that term.
We call them nunnies
