refresh my memory...how many diapers?

Trying to remember how long ds stayed in size 1 diapers??  I know the newborn size was very short-lived.  Trying to figure out if I should buy the big huge box....I'm thinking so, just can't remember what he weighed and when?

My kids used 1 pack of newborns each-- the ones we got at the hospital.

They each used 10 packs of size 1s, which was about 560 diapers.

I kept track because I am the moderator for the baby forum on a coupon board, and people want to know how many to stockpile.

OMG!  DId this ever remind me of actually counting diapers (by the pack of course) when Brooke was born. I used 100 diapers exactly when we came home from the hospital - from Sunday night to Thursday night.  And another 100 in the next four days too.  Then it started to calm down a little.  I was beyond amazed.

Oh, and DS was 2 inches longer and over a pound heavier than DD, and they still used the same number before they moved to size 2s. If you have tiny babies, you may use a couple more packs of newborn, but other than that, my counts have proven pretty accurate.

If you don't want to stock up on too many of any given size, you can tape the receipt to the pack and exchange for a larger size.
