Dr. Bronner's ?

I'm preparing to switch my family over to Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Castile for all bathing and handwashing.  I have two large bottles of the liquid.  Any recommendations for how to store it in the shower so it's easy-to-use and somewhat "portion" controlled?  I was thinking maybe a foaming soap-pump bottle, though I'm having a hard time finding one.  Other suggestions?  Thanks!

Re: Dr. Bronner's ?

  • We often just store it in the big bottle it comes in, but for our sinks we have foaming dispensers. At first we just bought some pre-made foam soap and kept reusing the container from it. Most lasted quite a while (Dial worked the best but we tried EO brand and a couple of other EFF types). We eventually did find some foaming dispensers (made in Canada) at a local housewares store in my hometown though so they are out there, but hard to find. If you can find them they are usually made in China, which I personally don't like. I did hear that some people found theirs at Target in the bath or kitchen area but I've had no luck with that. I think Amazon.com has some foam dispensers.

If you cant get a foamer, you might want to try putting the Dr B's in some smaller travel size bottles just for that portion control, but its up to you. I don't really have other suggestions!

    Good luck!

  • We bought a small bottle to take on vacation with us, years ago, I just refill that and keep it in the shower.

  • We also bought one smaller bottle and refill it from the bigger ones.

We bought Method foaming hand wash and when finished we use 1 part Dr. Bronners to like 10 parts water in them.  We found these bottles have held up much better than ones like Softsoap or Dial.  The labels can't be removed, but they are sturdier bottles and ours have lasted for over a year.
