Transporting prepared bottles to daycare?

We don't have super far to go so refrigeration isn't an issue.  We've been just putting the bottles in a grocery bag or freezer bag so that they don't leak and then prop them upright in the bag with the rest of the stuff for daycare.  But we're going through so many bags!  I was thinking maybe I would buy another wet bag just for bottles but those things aren't cheap.

How do you transport prepared bottles to daycare?

  • We got a tote specifically for baby bottles. It's the Baby Innovations Deluxe 4 Bottle Tote. I got mine off Ebay but they typically run around $15 retail.

  • I bought a lunch tote from target for 10 bucks! It fits six bottles.
  • I am a Director of a child care center and a few of the new dads started bringing the bottles in a six pack case... yes for beer.  it was really funny to see, but hey it worked

  • We got a small insulated bag (holds 5-6 bottles) which can later be used as a small diaper bag, it was about $15 at burlington

My DH would do this and think it is the coolest thing in the world

We do this! It's a blue hawaiian thing from Old Navy that has two compartments, one for the bottles and one for the nipples. I think it cost $5...

  • we have a skip hop d-bag and they fit inside. I just stand them up in the bottom and squish her other items around them. We don't transport dipes or wipes in the bag so there is room. its 5, 5oz bottles and the bottles have their nipples on with the caps on top.
  • My best friend got me an insulated lunch bag with his monogram.  It holds 3 bottles and 2 bowls of food great right now and, provided it doesn't fall apart, he'll be able to use it to bring a "big boy" lunch to school too.

This is what my husband does, though he does put it in the Similac diaper bag we got at the hospital!
