Anyone have a child who "hums" at mealtime?

My child enjoys food.  He enjoys it so much that he hums the entire time he is eating.  He doesn't do it all the time, but most of the time.  When he does it at a restaurant, people always look at him.  I gave him raisins at church the other day and we had to go to the nursery to finish eating them because he was humming so loudly.

My DD doesn't enjoy eating but I think that is adorable that your DS hums!

That's cute! My dd doesnt' hum at mealtime but she hums when she's being put down for a nap or at bedtime.

mine too, she loves to bop around from side to side, she especially loves to "dance" and hum during our before meal prayer.

Yes and when hes very excited. Sounds like /mm/ /mm/ /mmmmmmm/ over and over.

my niece did this for ages! used to crack me up. now (at 11) she says she enjoys her food and always has! haha.

Oh, yes.  She'll hum and talk and make all sorts of noise as she eats.  And of course, one of the very, very few words I can get her to say is "YUM".  Which she says best with her mouth full of banana.

My brother did this when he was a kid.  He grew out of it, but we still tease him about it to this day!

DD isn't a big eater but loves Cherrios.  She hums the whole time she is eating them.  Very cute!

Yup, it sounds like she's saying "mmmm mmmm."  I kind of blame myself because when she was first eating solids, I would feel her and saying "yum!" and "mmm" and i think she thinks she's supposed to make those sounds now.
