Since you are a car set tech - Are you supposed to put the handle of the infant seat down in the car? My brother always told me yes. I have tried looking it up but couldn't find anything. I couldn't find anything in the manual either.
It's a Graco but I will have to look at what type. I am borrowing it from my SIL since our other carseat expired. I know it was purchased sept or oct of 2008 and has a 32 inches/30 lbs limit.
it looks like in the "adjusting the handle" section, it lists which positions are ok to use in the car.
I only downloaded one manual, so I don't know if they are all the same or not. But in the one I did download, it said there were 4 positions for the handle. A to carry, B and C as convenience positions and D is down. It states that B should not be used in the vehicle.

Re: *Go4*
it depends on the seat. Some seats say it's ok, some say no.
What seat do you have?

Based on this website...

I think it's a Graco SnugRide 32...that is the base we have in the picture and that looks like the carseat.
Here is the best picture I have of him in it...
you can download a manual from here: https://www.gracobaby.com/CustomerService/ProductInstructions/Pages/ByBrand.aspx?Subcategory=15&Model=901
