Back from ER

Well, with 10 follies, they retrieved 6.  My RE seemed happy with that number.  Of course, I wish that I had a few more, but am just praying that all six are mature and fertilize.  They are going to do ICSI on all of them (decided at the last minute).  That makes me feel a little better.

I feel okay.  I'm sore but am taking it really easy today.  Since my e2 was so high, she's worried about hyperstimulation and she recommended that I stay on bedrest for the next few days, but I need to go to the office tomorrow.  She told me that if I go to keep my feet up, and if I feel bad to go home immediately. 

I'm really blue.  Is this normal after ER?  I'm a bit weepy and sad.  I feel like this isn't going to work.  I don't know if it is the hormones, or the stress, or a combination of everything, but I am just feeling blue.

Congrats! 6 is great. Sending fert PPV's!   I felt excited and good after the retrieval but I didn't stim so it could be the drugs and exhaustion from the whole process.  You should take it easy and rest up.  Start drinking the massive quantities of gatorade.  Can't wait for the fert repot.

six eggs is still a good number! remember, i only had six fertilize, and ended up with two to transfer and two frosties! i bet with your high E2 numbers that most or all of them are mature.

i think it's natural to feel sad afterwards. i was really in a funk for a few days after ER. it's a very physically and emotionally draining thing. try to take really good care of yourself. (((hugs)))

I was crampy and tired the day after my ER. The day of all I did was sleep.

Congrats!! My ER is tomorrow and I would feel blessed with 6 eggs!!  It is a great number.  Take it easy and keep us posted on the fert report!

Maybe you are feeling this way because you have soo mnay emotions you are feeling all at once. Nervous, stressed, hopeful, etc. I know I would be going nuts!

I felt a little blue after my retrieval yesterday.  I was happy, then sad, then nervous and worried that it wouldn't work.  I'm sure it will get better.  GL on your fert report!

I think the blue feeling comes from the build-up and excitement of the whole cycle, and then after ER there isn't anything to 'do' per se.

I think 6 eggs sounds great. Crossing my fingers that they all fertilize!!!

Thanks so much ladies!  You are so awesome. I feel better now.  My DH had to go back to company meetings this morning after making sure I was comfortable and going to the grocery store for me.  He won't be back until Friday.  I think being alone, and the thought of being alone after the ER contributed to my sadness and the mix of emotions.

I miss my sweetheart.

Glad everything went well!! The only thing I felt after my ER was tired.
