I'm not looking for a super cheap one that's going to fall apart, but every rec i see is always for $600 plus! Anyone have a reasonably priced double stroller? like something $300ish or under? And did you or how much did you use it? I'm a SAHM to a 15 month old, and LO is due on Aug 2nd, so he'll be close to 2 then. Thanks!!!
Re: Inexpensive double stroller recs?
Good luck! Seems like everyone on this board is planning to get a $500-$700 double stroller.
I posted this yesterday, and one person did recommend the baby trend sit and stand deluxe, which seems reasonable in price and you can take the second seat off to make it a true sit and stand later.
Hope more folks see your post. I'm definitely interested in the answers and recommendations. We just don't have a lot of extra money at all this time around. Thanks for posting!
I have the Jeep gedition and like it. It's the green one and I could only find it online. I got it for around $120 from Amazon.
My theory on the double strollers if you are not an actual jogger...joggers are not easy to use in stores; I was given an older front-back and couldn't push it well; I have family and friends with twins and as they got to around 3 years old the $400 side-by-sides were too hard to push. So why spend the money on something that you probably won't use for all that long?
The Jeep doesn't have underneath storage, but my diaper bag is a SkipHop Duo Double and it hooks to the back of any side-by-side double stroller. The gedition has better wheels and a larger canopy. It fits through doors, without the cupholder on. I live in a turn of the century neighborhood - our sidewalks are horrible. I do have some trouble with the uneven sidewalks, but unless I find a jogger for a great price on Craigslist - I'll deal.
