help!!

my friend is doing her trigger shot tonight and thinks she has the wrong size needle.  she has a 30.5 for the trigger.  i can't remember what i usually use...does that sound right, or does she need a larger needle?

Is it the IM kind of trigger? Some of my triggers were sub q (pregnyl) but my IVF one was IM.  My IM one used the same needle as PIO - 27 maybe?

30.5 seems small for IM but fine for sub q.

yup, it's IM.

I think mine was 25 1/2, not sure. It was in a blue wrapper. I know it was definitely not 30.5.

Is there a nurse on call that she can reach out to to verify? I think my trigger for IVF is a 25.

oops, she clarified that it's for PIO..and there is no urgency.  thanks.

For PIO, I used 22g 1".  Most people do the 1.5", though.

Mine was a 22 gauge to mix and a 25 1/2 gauge for the injection.
