How to do a slideshow and burn to DVD on Mac?

Just bought a mac and really want to put together a slideshow of LO from the first year. Do I have to purchase software to do this or are there programs that I can dowload? Thanks!

The only way I know to burn a DVD is with Toast, which you have to buy.

Use iMovie. Create a new project. Click on the camera icon on the right side to see all of your pictures from iPhoto.. Slide them to the window and that should get you started.

No problem! I actually need to get my 1 yr slideshow made. I plan to mix movies with pictures and burning dvd's for the grandparents
