? About getting cysts when taking Clomid/Femara

Did you get cysts every time you took the medication? How did you stop getting cysts after the first cycle or so after taking Clomid/Femara?

ETA: I am asking because I am concerned if I get cysts taking the medication. Why would I not get cysts any other time after that? What is done to prevent the cysts from popping up?

I developed a cyst sometime after my last round of clomid (but didn't have any the first round).  I went on bcp. Within a month, it had shrunk enough to continue with meds. But, since it was the holidays, I stayed on bcp for one more month and was completely cyst free at my next check. I'm not sure if this helps you at all, but you know I wish you nothing but the best!

I had simple cysts at the beginning of every cycle, but they resolved themselves and weren't an issue for my cycle. Only during my Follistim cycle did I have cysts so badly that I had to delay the start of my next cycle. They threw me on BCPs which helped suppress my own hormones and helped the cysts heal more quickly.

I had two cysts large enough to delay the cycle while I took BCP to shrink them out of five Clomid cycles.  I know two of the times I had cysts but they were small enough and not producing estrogen so I could proceed.  GL to you!

you get cysts when taking the meds because that is a side effect of ovarian hyperstimulation/ovulation induction. There is nothing you can do to prevent them. HTH!

I never got cysts on femara, while taking clomid I was still with my OB & wasn't monitored properly. Now with injections, I have had 2 cancelled cycles because of cysts. I just sit the month out & they are gone by next AF.

I had a cyst after my first round of Femara and had to sit out the cycle after that.  They put me on BCPs for a month and it was gone.  I also had two cysts after my last cycle, but they were small and my uterine lining looked good so I didn't have to sit out this cycle.  Hope this helps!
