Diapers are a FSA/HSA eligable item?

DH said to me the other day that he thought diapers were eligible items for the FSA and HSA accounts.  I thought he was nuts.  But, I'm looking at my Target receipt now and the pull ups do have an asterix by them indicating they are a health item.  Am I the last person to know this?  Figures, since DS only uses pull ups for sleeping now.

  • Nope, they're not. Diaper cream, yes. Diapers, no.

  • Nope, they're not eligible with our account. I don't know if that's for everyone or it varies by employer/accounts.

  • I thought it was a federal thing and I didn't think diapers were covered, BUT once they were covered for me at Kroger. We have a debit card preloaded that you can use at any store that is able to tell you what is and isn't FSA.  I always swipe my 'benny' card first then pay for whatever is leftover.  Only once were diapers covered.  Mistake maybe? yay for you!!
