i heard it was 18 in from seat to top of the seat, I could be wrong. it seems a little short, but the canopy adjusts and so do the foot rest. Im sold on it, it has all I need, and Dh said go for it. He knows we will spend more in the long run if I get a stroller I dont like first and then end up still getting the select. I am waiting to buy it until maybe some possible kinks are worked out since its new.

I got the 21" from their website (comparables tab). I think the height is adjustable 2" up to 21".
Another concern is that it's not safety certified (whatever that means, you'd think it have to be tested to be on the market...). I've emailed them to see what this means and to see when it will be certifed. This is VERY concerning to me.
my concern is that the reason i'd pay so much for a tandem stroller with that many features is so that I could use a bassinet on it for walks in the summer - but then I'd want DS to be able to face out in the front. That isn't one of the possible combinations. You can have a bassinet on top and the toddler seat on bottom facing in towards the bassinet, facing out the top of the seat would be too far back and the bassinet blocks it.
So that is my big concern. I don't think I can bring myself to pay that much when the one thing I'd really want it to do it can't. I still might look into it becuase a carseat on top and a toddler on bottom might be ok. But the "not approved" thing or whatever it is is troubling. I hadn't seen that before.

What is the not approved thing you are talking about? The only not approved thing I picked up on was the whole strapping on a diaper bag

This is what I was talking about... but why can't you put a diaper bag on it? Tipping hazard? shoot.... that is like the only way I can stand to have a diaper bag with me.

Technically I do not think you can do any diaper bags... they change the weight distribution - that is why they said it is not recommended but they did it anyway.
the front seat with a car seat in the back, doesn't really fit- you can't move the seat, it sits straight up and hits the back of the car seat. it was a pain in the butt to turn, as well. the wheels will not suffice long walks on uneven terrain, so basically it's a fancy umbrella stroller when you think about it....
i was so excited about and thought i'd get to the store and buy it, but it was just not what i had hoped for once i put my toddler in it...
If the link doesn't work - go the babyjogger.com, click products, then comparison chart.
I think the idea if this stroller is awesome. Unfortunately I'd have to order it online and have it shipped to Canada. It's going to cost me around $850 which is a lot of money for something I can't even try out.

we decided on the indie twin.
Interesting. I knew the bassinet/seat combination would be way too tight to work but it looked online like the carseat/seat combination was just fine. I'm bummed that even that doesn't really work well. I think we'll have a look at it still, just becuase if I don't I'll always wonder, but I highly doubt this is giong to be the one for us now. Bummer. Thanks for sharing!
Also, even though it says you shouldn't hang a diaper bag on the handle - you absolutely can (off the record). The stroller is way sturdy enough!
I have also test-pushed the stroller and i have to disagree with the pp that said they are just glorified umbrella wheels. No way! The rear wheels are 12" and the front wheels are 8" and can be locked straight! This stroller can hold its own on rougher terrain with the front wheels locked.
Lastly, Ratedbymom.com just updated their still photos of the City Select to include pictures of a Graco Snugride and a toddler seat. It shows that it definitely fits in a variety of seating options. When the toddler seat faces out in front though - the canopy has to be in the lowest position. https://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/01/baby-jogger-city-select-photos/
If you can't tell - I'm a little obsessed with the Baby Jogger City Select!

Thank you for this. I haven't looked at double strollers in person yet since I have plenty of time but I'm really leaning towards the City Select!

With the canopy adjustable height it's up to 24 inches.
I'm so excited about this stroller!!

Thank you! I have been looking for a video of it everywhere. Definietly getting it! Congrats on your BFP!!!
Here's another video. I am pretty sure I'm getting this stroller too. I'm really falling in love with it!
i tested this stroller yesterday at the store....
we decided against it...

Sorry for the late reply. Here's the link to what I meant by "safety certified".

Here is my (very!) tall 2 year old sitting comfortably in it:
Hi Ladies,
Here are the actual stats of the seat and canopy:
18 1/2" seatback
21" seatback to canopy (with canopy in lowest positions)
24" seatback to canopy (with canopy in highest position)
I got these stats from Baby Gizmo's review: https://www.babygizmo.com/news/babyjoggercityselect.php
