In order to use a jogging stroller w/out attaching the infant seat to it, I would assume the baby needs to have head control? Or do some of these models recline?
Anyone who has used one, suggestions? Was it the right decision to get the infant car seat attachment? Or would you just wait until LO is older? TIA!
Re: Jogging strollers
I'm not sure about other models, but our BOB Revolution reclines -- not completely flat, but almost. I think we first put DD in it without the car seat when she was four months old and had developed good head and neck control.
We got the car seat adapter because we used it as a travel system. We definitely knew we would need a jogger, and we didn't want to waste money on a regular travel system or have a snap 'n go taking up space after we were finished using it. (The BOB car seat adapter and snap 'n go cost about the same.) Even when DD was big enough to use the stroller without the adapter, it was still useful when we traveled since we always gate-checked both the infant seat and stroller.
If you're getting another stroller and just hoping to start using a jogger early, keep in mind that you can't run with the car seat in place, and without it, you need to wait until DC is at least six months. (The BOB manual actually recommends eight months.)
