Tell Me About Apri, Please

It's the generic of Desogen.

I'm starting Apri in the next week and I'm not looking forward to it.  Mainly because BCP make me BSC but it's a necessary evil to start injectables the following month. 

So how bad are the S/E of Apri? I know I recently read a post from someone who is taking/took desogen and it seemed rough.  Is Apri very similar?

I hate BCP's. I have hated every BCP I have ever been on and I've tried a ton of them. When I actually needed birth control I ended up opting for an IUD just so I didn't have to use BCP's anymore. And I LOVED Apri. I told H if we ever try to prevent a pregnancy again in our lives that I will go on this pill. GL!

Like you, I hated being on BCP and never planned on going back on any so I was/am a wee bit nervous about this.

Well really, my husband should be a wee bit nervous not me. LOL!

I didn't have too bad of SE with Apri. I had some headaches and mild nuesea if I hadn't had much too eat. I also had breakthrough bleeding for the first couple if months. But I thought it was better than the patch.
