VERY sedating! we used to give it to our "out of control" patients in the psych ER. It would knock them out. I'm sure yours is a much smaller dosage, but still, very sedating.
are you ok?

Doctor in training!
It is the same class as Xanax and is sedating. I am a psych RN and we use it as a one two punch coupled with an antipsychotic to give to our patients that are getting riled up. With my experience I have found it to be more sedating for our patients than Xanax, but it also depends on the dose. How much were you prescribed?
I'm sorry, but did you not ask your doctor what it is, what it does and what the side effects may be? I think that's pretty important, no?
Actually, a little bit of a ditto here. HOWEVER, I can ask the doctor everything I want to at that moment, doesn't mean I'm going to remember it 20 minutes later. AND doctors sometimes shove sh*t on you and blow you off quickly enough that you just take the script and ask questions later and make your decision from there.

This is what happens to me all the time. Which is why I end up not taking anything.
yup, I did ask the doctor, and he said I should be fine because it's a small dose (.5 mg). He kept saying it would be ok and very few side effects, but I also wanted to hear from people that actually took it.
I'm on Cymbalta, which has helped immensely. But lately i've still been losing it, about to rip someone's head off, etc, on those really tough days. Last week, it got so bad (once at work and once at home) that I had to dig into the leftover painkillers I had from when my ankle was sprained.
Yeah, don't want to start down that slippery slope. I mean, that would be awesome, if I had a full supply of vicodin or percocet at all times, you know, if it were not for the addictive side effects and dangerousness of it all

Yes, it is as needed.
Lorezapam (atavan) is gooood ***. My clients like to buy it on the street.
Lorezapam doesn't make me feel sleepy (unless I take too much), just relaxed.
Sorry you're stressed.
