Growing up andrea was always a favorite of mine, however if i was to ever have another daughter I would have adriana ontop of my list. i love that name.

Adriana by far. I'm not a fan of Andrea in general and your pronunciation will get messed up by everyone.

    I'm voting for Andrea.

I like Adriana better.  Also love Ariana which is similar.

Both are nice, but I like Andrea better. My BIL would have been named Adriana if he was a girl!

I'm voting for Andrea, but maybe spelled different so it looks the way you want it said (Most people would say it ANNdreea). I would pronounce Adriana with a long A sound, like Adrian with an a at the end. If you like the soft A sound, have you thought of Ariana? That name wouldn't get mispronounced as often as the others would, IMO.

i think either way, you're going to get the "a" rather than the "ah" pronunciation you want: AND-rea or AE-driana. but most people are pretty good after you correct them once. good luck!

I like them both. I think I like Andrea more though. Personally, I pronounce Adriana "Aid-ree-ah-na". Also, with Andrea, everyone will probably say "Ann-dree-uh" initially, but like PP said hopefully it should only take one correction and won't be a problem. I know an Andrea (your pronounciation) who goes by Dre.

I like Adriana (ha...it was actually my "confirmation name" back in catholic grade school)...your LO will spend forever correcting people that it isn't ann-dree-a.

Andrea is my name and I can tell you that its one of those that no one gets right. My name started off as Ahn-dree-ah, per my mother, but by the time I got to school it had evolved into Ann-dree-a.  Too many people mispronounced it for my mother to keep up with correcting everyone and I was always embarrassed by her telling people that they said it wrong, so I actually preferred Ann-dree-a much better.

Even after it became Ann-dree-a, I still got a lot of Adrienne and Angela all of my life.

We are going with Adrianna (pronounced Ah-dree-ahn-a) for our DD.  I'm sure that will get butchered too, because there are several pronunciations of it.

I am also Andrea, said like Ahn-drea. No one EVER gets it right. Ever. I always get And-rea or Ahn-dray-uh. I love the way my name sounds, I hate that it is so hard for people to say. I also am not a big fan of the way you want to say it.

I really like Adriana, but I think that most people will pronounce it with a hard A sound.
