Matteo or Mattias?

    Without knowing middle name options or the origin of your last name - I like Matteo most.  Mattias is nice though.

    Is this for a boy?  I like Matteo better of the two.

    I like the name Mattea for a girl but DH would never go for it.

    Matteo!  But they are both beautiful.  Are you going to nn him, though?  Please don't, I love these lovely names and Matt or Mattie would be such a shame...

    we were just talking about the name Matthias a lot earlier for our phantom son.

    Is Mattias another way to spell Matthias or is a compeletly diffferent name.  Would it be considered a unique spelling if used? Nymbler describes it(mattias) as unique boy name, so i was just wondering.

    Yes, Mattias is the spelling often used in Western and Northern Europe. I like Mathias too but prefer the sound of Mattias. Thanks for your feedback!

    Matteo was on my list.  Love it!
    DD#1 11/7/04 DS#1 6/24/06 Chemical Pregnancy 6/08 DD#2 1/28/10 after secondary infertility, Clomid, & acupuncture missed m/c 6/2010 at 8 weeks (baby stopped growing @ 5.5) DS born sleeping 1/13/2011 due to cord accident at 22 weeks. DD#3 3/10/2012
