Jess - didn't you deliver your kiddos with Eichenlaub and May? I need to switch from OB/GYN so I can deliver at Women and Babies again in the future and I'm debating between Lancaster Physicians for Women, May/Grant and Eichenlaub and May. Thanks for any info you can share about your experiences!
Jennifer - I tagged you since this might help you as well. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and your bad experience with a care provider on top of it.
Re: futuremrssoll and pepomntpat re: Lancaster OB's
I would love to see the email if you don't mind sending! kshaffer at alumni.nd.edu Thanks!
I'd love to hear about the practice you're going to as well, if you have anything to share - I can't remember where you decided on...
I haven't figured out where I'm going to go moving forward. I went to Birth Care, but I was transferred to Ephrata ObGyn for complications(that went away, but they still did the delivery). I was not a fan of the doctor who did my delivery, or really any of the doctors I saw at the end of my pregnancy, but I LOVE their midwives. LOOOOOOOOOOOVE them. So I love the widwives at both Birth Care(every single one!), but I don't really feel like dealing with the hoops I had to jump through because of the vbac again, so I might just stick with the midwives at Ephrata the next time around(if the is a next time around) and in the interim. But none of that helps you much since they're all at Ephrata;)
*But* I give great, wonderful, FANTASTIC A++++ reviews to Ephrata Community Hospital in case anyone else is reading this and considering delivering there. They were amazing, especially the nurses, down to letting me stay overnight in an open post-partum room when I was admitted to the ER with an infection 5 days after Nick was born so that he could stay with me.
